filter with bass

hi

lately i been sidechaining a quick bass stab to my kick (im trying to make hard techno ) with all the reverb and such already set to how i like it ..i want to try and shape the bass now with the filter i notice certain filters will shape the bass so it shuffles i guess u can call it..any1 have any pointers or tips on how to do this better..thanks..ill try to explain more if i have to

i guess a better way to describe it ..is it gives it a bit more swing
