Right then first things first.. hello forum!

ive been checking this forum out a lot but ain had chance to come on here, nice layout!

Im posting mainly because i am finding it gradually harder to find the hardest of the hard techno out there. I have been playing hard acid/ hard techno for ages now - but im finding myself going off it because i cant get my hands on anything that makes me think WOW Mother F****r thats a right beast!

The only stuff i do have thats quite recent is some of the construct rhythmn stuff [special tactics 1 by westwood brothers rules], some composure and a bit of Jerk. i like a nice solid bass drum/kick and loads of percussion - also it has to be quite fast [ie about 150-170?]

I have been playing a lot of gabber/hardcore techno recently, which i have a passion for and have been getting booked for it regularly - but techno is in my blood you know?, and i have a residency for it too - thus dont want to be left behind!

Am i looking in the right places? What AM i doing wrong ? HELLLLLLLPPPPP MMMEEEEEEEEEEE!!

    cheers peeps

There was a big worry when Infectious went under that UK hard techno would suffer... but now fortunately, most of the best labels have found new homes. Routemaster 45, 46, Hydraulix 15, Raw 12, No Entry 13, and Bionic Orange 18 should all be available at your latest filth outlet. (If you're really struggling to get stuff like this, let me know).

Also, just spoke to one of my distributors and there's a new SQUAT records on it's way. Don't know if you've heard or got the first two, but if it's anything like them it's gonna be a winner (I reckon "Whiston Road" by Jeff Amadaeus was the best hard techno chune of last year).

    Hey Joe..

I think there's alot of people on here who like the harder edge of techno. Basically I'd recommend the things I review (of course) but there's plenty more out there. What is the least hard stuff you want and what is the most??? Jerk, Composure etc is a good indication of what you like but they all come from the same place (Drizzly) and they all are a similar specific style.

the best way of me putting it is 'back in the day' haha when cluster were putting some belting releases out by the likes of Smog Blanket and Cyborg X and the A+E dept etc. The Bass on them tracks just took the P*ss , and i still play them out today. You heard 'this is the house...' by Cyborg X? why cant it all be like that? ahah.

I couldnt really put a finger on what is the 'least hard' or the 'most hard', because i like/buy all styles of techno, but this topic is specifically aimed at playing out material. I have always prided myself on playing the hardest it will go for what i play, and a lot of people recognise this. Sooner or later though at this rate im going to run out of tunes that meet the standards i require.

ok.. so maybe i waffled a bit then - but i hope you get the picture??

    cheers guys.
