don't know about that. there were spells in which they dominated, but the germans shredded their back four fairly regularly.

i will go so far as to say i don't think germany would have won had turkey been at full strength.

Maybe maybe not, but they played beyond expectations for sure. That Kazim Kazim crossbar would have scared the jesus outta me if I was Lehman. Anyway It looks like Germany won with self belief,experience and composure... Maybe a little lucky but I don't really believe that , If it was the Italians ok yeah, but sie Germans knew what they were doing. Good play Germany hope you lose the final :)

thought the spanish gameplan was excellent. russians were shredding the dutch and swedish back four by counterattacking and getting back before the defenders could get in position. the spanish held the ball so much the russians had few opportunities, and every time the russians got the ball, 4 spanish defenders were already back and in position. they had a couple opportunities to score, but maybe 1/4 as many as they had against the dutch.

It was great to say the turks go out. They played so negatively up until the german game and played their best football and lost. lol

Poetic justice? Think about it play negative football for 4 straight games and get to semis, the play your best and lose?

Defended against the czechs. 10 men behind ball until they went 2 down
Defended against croatia. 10 men behind ball.No shots until extra time.

Id say that was negative.

They showed against the germans that they can play football, so why not play that was every game?

you must have been watching a different turkey v croatia match than i did, because i saw them dominate the midfield for long stretches of the game and create several chances.

didn't think they were playing particularly exciting football, but it was hardly greece IMO...

It was only in extra time that Turkey started to play well against Croatia, I agree with DJ Fase, good to see them go out.
