Yeh they were not themselves. Some tasty match-ups on the way though.

Who will win it now? What do you think? Any favorites?

I think it's gonna be something like this......

Taking into account tradition, current form, skill, flair, experience, motivation, squad depth, head coach experience.... this is my take on in.

    % of winning the Euro

    Holland - 27%
    Portugal - 16%
    Spain - 16%
    Italy - 13%
    Croatia - 9%
    Russia - 8%
    Germany - 8%
    Turkey - 3%

russia deserved to win; we did not. but it wasn't a good game. russia looked fast, skilled and determined to get to the quarterfinals. we looked like we were playing a friendly or, worse, a "we're already through" garbage game.

barely half of our players were even running. no one except zlatan, henrik and freddie even tried to finish plays. this isn't a bloody friendly against norway, fellas, this is do-or-die! we died. disgrace.

but fair-dos to the ruskies, who did look impressive.

Yeah, Germany look like reaching the final at least now, they have a great record in the knock out stages, I wouldn't be surprised if they won the tournament. They looked great going forward, just a shame they didn't keep the concentration at the back and eased off at 2-0 to let Portugal come back at them.

Well I'm betting on Turkey, Croatia will be leading at the half, but Turkey will come back and snatch it at the death. 1-2 :)

That was the formula for Turkey so far anyway.

I'm counting on Croatia winning! Though after Billic's remarks about Turkey I wouldn't be too surprised if they came back to haunt him and it helped motivate Turkey to win. You'd think they'd been to strong so far to go and lose to Turkey, but you never know.

As for Russia, I think they have a better team than Sweden.

it's possible, but keep in mind russia looked awful against spain whereas we looked competent, if long in the tooth, in our match against spain. no doubt the side russia put on the pitch was dominant over ours. but if we'd met them earlier in the tournament, when arshavin was injured and wilhelmsson was not and when we played with some sense of purpose, i don't think the result would have been the same.

it was hustle and determination. russia wanted it; we didn't. we played the worst match i've seen us play since euro2000, and far and away the worst we've played in this tournament. russia, on the other hand, played lights out and utilized their talents. so yeah, that does go back to hiddink firing his guys up, but it wasn't tactics...there was no need!

I really wanted Larsson to score when he hit the crossbar in the first half, shame really, would have been a better match. I like both Russia and Sweden, it's a shame one had to not go through..Spain was lucky with Arshavin not playing.

    Arshavin is awesome.
