Good one. Posted about parallel compression ages ago here . Must admit that i might not be at the stage to really utilize this technique myself to the fullest yet. Without having read that article, i just want to add there are quite a few sw compressors (fabfilter pro c etc. // Compressive pro /lite etc etc.) that offer a mix button, which could make the entire job easier.
