Default Do I need new needles?

I've had the same old pair of standard stanton needles with my decks since I bought them (about 7-8 years ago) recently, the sound'll cut out mid tune, and will go back on if I tap the deck, but that only sorted it for a few seconds) Found out that it's the needles getting loose, cos I press them back in and it's ok for a while. So,do I need new needles, should I just get some anyway, cos stantons are a bit shite?

+1, I got them and they never let me down and sound lubbly

xes dude, after 7-8 years your needles are going to be competely knackered and actually start damaging your records. The tiny needle tip gets worn down and starts wearing out the grooves in your records.

    Treat yourself!

You only have to buy the carts once me old mucka, the stylus on them are hardy going. I bought a pair for filthmonger ages ago and we give em some rough going.
