Talking MANTIS presents: Mr Seavers Serpent Mix (aka Techmouse)

So here we have our 3rd MANTIS presents. Coming quite fittingly from our 3rd showcased DJ: Mr Seavers. He was on the show back in mid 2007 and did a storming set live in the studio. We've remained good mates since. He helped host the 4th show and around December 2007 we decided to occasionally perform together as CONFOUNDED. Some of you might notice that last weeks MANTIS was a Techno Takeover courtesy of CONFOUNDED. Download here.

You can find Mr Seavers as one of the residents up at Nottingham's relentless Pure Filth night. He's supporting The Advent and Rowland the Bastard on the 4th October so check out Talk To Filth for more details.

    Enjoy.

    Not this Mr. Seavers?

Seriously, though, really good set. It's damn hard, but manages to stay just this side of "too hard" for my taste. Just a quality mix of proper pounders. Thanks to DVNT for posting and to techmouse for laying it down.

edit: Is there a reason iTunes lists the genre of this mix as "Booty Bass"?

 Good spot. It's scary how many people have never heard of that show.

Cheers man. I enjoyed it immensely. Finally seem to have got rid of my ground loop issues so there's a load more where that came from.

Erm... Audacity's mp3 encoder doesn't list the genres alphabetically so I just picked the first one I liked the sound of.

    Cool cool.

Mark you know you can have whatever genre you want. You can overwrite with binary code if you so choose. ;)

Tis a wicked set which is currently sitting nicely on my iPod.

It gets kind of "Bootyish" a little bit before 30 mins. Plus, who doesn't like the term "Booty Bass"? Good call.
