Here's the press release to give you all an idea of this release:

MORE PUNK THAN FUNK RETURNS WITH A UNIQUE RELEASE FEATURING TRACKS TO PLEASE EVERY TECHNO PALATE!

Picture this: Joe Giacomet is sitting at home with a track from Distek. He breaksdown crying because he needs 3 more tracks for MPTF 009, but alas only has the one. Product 19 walks in with a sad look on his face and begins crying too.

Joe asks The Product: ‘Why are you crying?’

He replies ‘Because I need money to get my visa to stay in your wonderful country of the UK! Otherwise, I have to return to the USA! However, I want to release these 2 tracks from Odessa Soundfreaks with a remix by DAVE the Drummer on Electrasoul Records. Now I can’t!’ He continues to sob and with snot dribbling down his nose he asks Joe: ‘Why are you crying?’

‘I don’t have enough tunes for my next release!’ The two grown men begin wailing. As they hold each other, snot and tears dribbling all over each other, all of a sudden they stop, stand back and look at each. Slowly they both begin to smile.

‘Are you thinking what I am thinking, Joey?’

‘I sure am, Product!...Let’s go to the pub and get wasted!’ That’s how MPTF 009 was born.

    A1 – Odessa Soundfreaks ‘Destination’
Ukrainian duo Odessa Soundfreaks present their finest track ever with ‘Destination.’ This is one clubkiller tech-trance track that is an ABSOLUTE guarantee to fill dancefloors with its stomping groove, tripped out vocal snippet and gurgling bass riff which eventually explodes into mayham pushing the song to the next level. The track’s breakdown brings in haunting synth plucks which eventually get tweeked along with the bass to a maximum level raising the track to a dramatic and euphoric climax. This is one which could be found in the boxes of Sander Van Doorn, Fergie or even Chris Liberator and certainly should not be overlooked by anyone!

    A2 – Distek ‘Booty Loop’
Distek returns to the label and as always never disappoints with an upbeat funky techno number sure to put smiles on the gurning faces of ravers worldwide. This time the main feature is a cheeky groove based on a sample of the old house remix of Tori Amos’ ‘Professional Widow.’ The clanking and bumping groove, funky bassline and easily recognizable sample along with a tongue-in-cheek breakdown make this one helluva party monster for any DJ to drop when the crowds need a good boost!

B1 – DAVE The Drummer ‘Destination Remix’
This tracks pounds harder than a teenage boy who has just discovered his dad’s stash of porn or 2 horny monkeys! This remix of the original features a kick drum which pushes the boundaries of bass frequency, subtle mechanical loops and crunchy hi-hats commanding everyone to the dancefloor. In the dramatic breakdown, the vocal sample is rinsed through psychedelic effects and layers of rising synths build and drop and then build up again to an enormous peak where things kick back in full force. Since it has been a staple in The Drummer’s sets this year, he has been bombarded by trainspotters on this one and promos are getting requested by the likes of Mark EG, DJ Ogi and Kutski among others.

B2 –Odessa Soundfreaks ‘Inhale’ (Available on the digital version only)
This track could not fit on the vinyl version. However, this one is for the pure funky techno heads. Shuffling tribal grooves, a clean bassline and Detroit-like synth stabs reminescent of Dave Clarke’s early work makes this a perfect fit for fans of Carl Cox, Ignition Technician, Paul Mac and Danilo Vigorito.

OMG!! Henrys remix is the bomb! I heard this one in his International youth day set, and it blasted my mind! All tracks is really good! The best MPTF release to date :)

Well the release date is hot topic at the moment. Due to manufacturing problems we've had to put it back to February 2nd. However the digital will be out tomorrow which is annoying but i can't change it as its already been submitted to all the sites.

Glad you like the release though!

    I like Dave's Rmx best.

"Inhale" sounds cool oldschool, why didn't you put it on the vinyl as well?

Dave's track is 8mins long so it would have comprimised the quality of that side of the vinyl as it would have been over 13 mis long. And tbh i wanted it to have a full side as it rocks
