The DJM owns it.. with the exception of 3 channels... but it is possible to use the Mic inputs as Aux.

Not only that but the mic inputs can be switched to Aux to use the unit in the studio as an extremely fun FX unit.

The DJM is cheaper too.

Please believe me folks ive used many different mixers and the DJM 400 is the best all round small format cheap mixer i EVER used.

ive never seen that model before,looks the biz!!! im really tempted to get a djm600 but its just so much money,this could be an alternative....

Why? The BPM auto counter sends information to the time synchronised FX switches.. the best thing about this mixer is that it has 5 buttons which act as 1/4br 1/8th br 3/4br 1/2br and Whole bar switches allowing a DJ to flick between any of them instantly.

One of their other uses is for sampling, the DJM400 has 5 seperate sample banks on it. not only that but after sampling a loop its possible to send the loop to channel 1 using the FX selection dial while the origninal record plays on channel 2 for example.

For those of you who9 scracth as well its possible to be crabbing and flicking the effects on an off with an extended finger to provide massive amounts of sound manipulation.

The robot voice also doubles as a pitch shifter allowing a DJ to sound either like a devil or alvin the chipmunk.

i see what you mean about the bpm. i used to have a gemini mixer with bpm's on it, and i got dependent on looking at the bpm read out instead of figuring out myself. when i've used djm 600 i usually have to switch it off.
but yeah the djm 400 imo is the best (2 channel) mixer out there. apart from maybe a rane or something or the Ecler Hak 380.
