sample laws should now be reversed. anyone guilty of the "puffy syndrome" should not be allowed to sample. anyone reaching a certain level of creativity (IE FSOL or KID606 etc) should be given CARTE BLANCHE to sample what and who they like.
quality bootlegs are now to be respected.
artists may not bitch about being sampled unless the offending piece is:
a. poorly produced
b. a mechanical rip off of sample source with zero creative effort
c. a blatant attempt to make a half assed stab at a new genre

I suppose id have to agree with this. If I had hits out there, wicked tracks and someone sampled it, but did it really really well I wouldn't be offended in the slightest. and I guess at the end of the day, I would be flattered. And of course, it is free advertisement for me.
