    Default how do you make a snare roll in cubase

    hi ive only just got into producing and im using cubase im just wondering how you make a snare roll as theres no youtube clips for doing it in cubase i can only find tutorials on doing it in fruity an reason can anyone help?

    doing it in cubase shouldnt be too different from doing it in reason or any other daw. post some clip of what you're after..

    Get your snare sample of choice

    Set your grid to 1/32

    Paste 32 snares, shortening the sample to fit in the space available

    Hey presto! Snare roll

    Same principles apply to any midi drum machine you want to use. Just increase the resolution and paste lots of notes next to each other.

    but seriously. the simplest way is to just use 1/16 or 1/32 notes and adjust the velocity to increase from 1 to 127 at the very end.
