There are some Techno names on those CDs (Redhead, Sneo etc), mixed among some less Techno stuff, but they are a few years old and all I can find on youtube recently from him is jumpstyle/hardstyle, whatever you want to call it:

YouTube - DJ Ghost - Pitch Up XviD [LIMIT-AR]

YouTube - The qontinent tekstyle dj ghost

Ha ha, yeah, he can be a bit full-on sometimes!

Bliss, this might help clear things up a bit for you:

Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music | New Home on Techno.org

It is all generalised, and to be taken with a pinch of salt, but there are lots of audio clips so you can hear the differences between styles.

DJ Ghost plays hardstyle/jumpstyle, and as you wil see on the guide above, Hardstyle did not come from Techno; it came from old Dutch gabber. Click on the link for "Hardcore" and you'll see Hardstyle branching off "Rotterdam." Take a listen to the Rotterdam and NU-Style gabber clips, and you can clearly see where Hardstyle came from. It doesn't even really sound like techno tbh; the drums are very different and the structure/feel of the track is far more like gabba.

If you're just getting into a new type of music, and trying to discover new artists/sounds, then you're always gonna make a few wrong turns, everyone does. Techno is one of the most widely misunderstood and misrepresented genres around. But yeah, just cos the mix calls him a "Godfather of Techno" doesn;t mean it is true. I mean, f*cking SCOOTER call themeslves techno, as did 2 Unlimited, ha ha! Just cos it says Techno on the tin, don't mean it is techno in the tin!!!

i know mate. i think from what i recall, you are one of the top posters here i think so ignore the comment.

i got carried away. in fact can danny or slav delete that post. i've tried edit it but it was too late.

back to your comment, mate manu kenton i have the cherry compilation. i think he is good , but to compare dj ghost to scooter, is bit much don't you think?

i am totally confused with the correlation.

anyways i say tomato, you tomaaatoo. it is good whatever the tin says.

    do you not like it?

    and why?

secondly can you provide more names along that music.

    much appreciated.

    cheers.

    couldn't edit again.

well technorich, i got you muddled up with ritaheed.

anyways did you listen to the mix?

he might've done some gabba, but the mix is to me techno.

regardless it can be called moon rock, it is still good.

i like to hear your recommendation, and that link with different style i am aware of already. good one nonetheless.

    Blis are you turkish?

anyways its all down to opinion who we think is better etc - each to there own and all that but yeah manu kenton and sebastian prelar are jakn/jak'd up techno but i was just letting you know who i thought that ive seen that are really good in my book and are better than ghost... but its all down to opinion though

what teknorich is trying to say is that scooter class themselves as techno when there more cheesy jumpstyle shit, and for ghost to call his mix "the godfathers of techno" doesnt mean that its all techno

what i was trying to say is that ghost aint techno, he's defo jumpstyle with some tracks that are suited towards the jakn techno heads....

if your into that kinda jakn sound i would suggest checking out kamikaze, dj ze mig l, sebastian prelar, paul langley, older dj bam bam, older jamie bissmire, older space djz stuff - defo more techno orientated but with a heavy jakn feel :)
