URGENT - Mixing Desk Insert Question

i do live sets. all hardware. drumachines, modules, desk etc etc


my question is this....


for about the last while, ive been using a Behringer Composer Pro (compressor/limiter) & Behringer Ultrafex (enhancer) on the inserts on my main out on my Spirit desk.
i had the audio running thru the Ultrafex, then into the Composer.
its workied fine. i like the pumping, dirty edge it gives the sound AND i dont blow pas up ;)

ive recentley purchased a Behringer Ultramizer (a 2-band loudness maximiser/enhancer) and i am wondering what to do now...


should i use the Composer & Ultrafex elsewhere & just put the Ultramizer across the out at the insert point ?


i'm gonna try both options & record the results so i can compare later without having to re-route/unplug anything and go with the best (in my ears)



BUT, what do you ppl think ?

Insert ----- Ultrafex, then into the Composer, then into the
Behringer Ultramizer..... back 2 the mixer thru the insert cable.

was thinkin bout but thought it would just squeeze the sound too much.

Use very good and very short leads! ;)

U r not squeeze more or less than any other situation I can think of... also as far as I can think the all idea of using that new behringer was 2 improve sound so...


But I guess u can use yer normal method ... then as an addition... do master out... new behringer.... pa!
