    Default Techno, what happened?

Sitting here listening to an old DJ Bam Bam mix wondering what the **** happened?
I'm still as angry and aggressive as ever, where the **** is my soundtrack?
I never donned the black turtleneck, by the way I coined that phrase for all you proud black turtleneck geeks, who were so anal about the compression channel, **** you.
Bass Bleed you pussy. I want the next Numbers and Measures McCormack remix, I want the next Heroes series, where the **** is Lawrie!?
Grow a ****ing pair and let's get ****ing mental, just because we all got careers and kids, doesn't mean I don't want to punch the cow like Rocky once in a blew.

and i don't mean that in a disrespectful way. it's just that there's plenty of hard banging shit nowadays.

i love the old stuff too, but when i listen to a lot of it today, it just sounds dated. of course i love being nostalgic and listening to my old livesets i still have saved, but truth is there is a lot of really good music being released lately.

i'm just glad the whole minimal thing is finally dying off. i took a long break from techno because that shit ruined it for me, but now it seems like techno is finally going back to it's roots.

Indeed, links or this modern "banging" techno didn't happen...

if things didn't move forward or change, then classics wouldn't be classics.

there has not been any good discussion of what techno should be but minority of few who would like to say i was here all along except for a few who really does love the music all along.

It is weird though innit? You would think someone would emulate music from previous era now? So are we moaning about artists previously from the 'banger' era or just change in direction of techno?

I kinda understand where he is coming from, although I must say that some of the new stuff being released on Drumcode recently reminds me of Beyer's stuff in early 2000s. Gary Beck and a small of handful of others are new breeds that keeps me interested in techno.
