How do you do track automation on midi tracks i.e a filter sweep?

If u highlight the write button ( the little w on the filter) then play and fiddle with the automation. Then click show all automation and you should see in the filter folder the automation u just did. U can change it to exactly how u want it from there.

yeah when you install an instument i.e synth, a channel should automaticlly come up for the automation, click the write button and then the line along the track goes blue, you then have to change the automation to whatever on the synth you want to change etc freq cutoff, when you've changed that mate, you can write the automation in with the line/write tool.
